Wisdom Made Clear

Proverbs 31:8-9(ERV)

V.8 Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Help people who are in trouble.

V. 9 Stand up for what you know is right, and judge all people fairly. Protect the rights of the poor and those who need help.

The last Chapter of the book of Proverbs begins with a Mother’s advice to a king or “Wisdom Made Clear” to her son.

Sometimes we can over complicate things, we can simply do the best we can to make a difference.

Those words of “Wisdom Made Clear” can certainly be applied to our lives today, we may not be kings, or have high positions, but we have influence and we have a voices.

We Must:

1. Speak up for others

Many people are mute or speechless, not that they can’t talk but no one will listen.

They like legal standing, social power, and many do not have the physical capacity to defend themselves.

Power and positions should not be use just for personal luxury or escaping reality, but also for speaking up for others.

True strength is how a society treats and defends it’s most vulnerable members or citizens.

2. Help others

Hold doors open for others, smile as often as possible.

Volunteering at a local shelter or foodbank, help out at a soup kitchen, donate clothes to salvation army, goodwill or whatever is in your town or city.

Give blood, donate financially to any charity. Talk to a family member or friend going through a rough time. Visit nursing homes, talk to the residents.

Volunteer at your local church or place of worship.

Helping others also helps you.

3. Stand up for others

Standing up for others who face unfair treatment, bullying, or criticism.

People who are being treated unfairly by our society because they may be different.

We must seek justice for everyone, not just some.

That’s why we should vote, to support those who may feel hopeless and helpless.

That laws would be changed to help those who can’t help themselves.

4. Protect the rights of others

Seems like some laws for helping others are going backwards.

We must fight to protects current laws and for new laws to help and protect people.

We should not only be concerned about the things that affect us.

Dr. Martin Luther King quote

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere”

Remember, you have a voice, your voice is not passive but active,

“Wisdom Made Clear”, we may not be able to change the whole world, but we can impact our world.
