Shout Out To The Laborers

Matthew 9:37-38(NKJV)

V. 37 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few”.

V. 38 Therefore pray the LORD of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.

Many times as a society we can complain so much about people not doing enough, we can forget about the ones that are.

Laborers – In our society the laborers are the backbone of our society, without them we could not survive.

Individuals who perform essential physical, manual, or hands-on work, often across industries that form the backbond of everyday infrastructure and services.

Construction workers, Road workers, Farmers, Ground keepers, Warehouse and Manufacturing workers, Sanitation Workers, Janitors, waiters etc.

Laborers often go underappreciated, under paid, unnoticed. But most show up for their jobs everyday and do not complain.

Laborers – Laborers in God Kingdom are similar, they do they the work, many times go unnoticed.

Most do not do it to be noticed, they do it because they care.

A Laborer in God’s Kingdom is serving the society, community that they live in, or missionaries to another place.

Laborers:

1. They do not complain

They do not get mad at others for not doing what they do.

They do not just complain about how bad things are, they do their part to make a difference.

They do the best they can and pray for more Laborers.

2. They do not have time for arguments

They do not get in senseless political or religious arguments, they just do the work.

They pray for more Laborers

3. They do not compare what they do to others

They realize everyone has a mission, no mission is more important than others.

They pray for more Laborers

4. They met physical and Spiritual needs

They realize that people need prayer and that people have material needs also.

They pray for more laborers

So to all the churches, pastors, teachers, priest, all individual community servants, parachurch organizations, foodbanks, goodwill, salvation army, battered women’s shelters, drug rehabilitation facilities, teen pregnancy facilities, after school programs, GED programs, Trade Schools, college preparation programs, nursing homes etc.

So to all the laborers who are out here doing God’s work, making a difference, Shout Out To You.

Pray that God will send more help and finances so that more can be done.

You may not be able to give much physical time but you may can help financially, but we all can pray.

If you know someone who regularly volunteers in the community, thank them and show them for their service.
