We Can Escape

Psalm 124:7(NKJV)

V. 7 Our soul has escaped as a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped.

Psalm 91:3(NKJV)

Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.

Snare – A wire, string, or noose set on the ground to catch birds or animals, a hidden trap that can trap you without warning.

Have you ever been in a situation and thought, how did I get myself into this. Some relationships, friendships, vices, unhealthy lifestyles that seem good at first but become toxic or addictive.

Psalm 124:7 uses the metaphor of a bird escaping a broken trap to celebrate miraculous, devine deliverance.

The “Fowlers Snare” – The fowler is a bird hunter, reminder of how life can trap us, and we seemingly have no way out or no way back.

God steps in as the devine rescuer, God can shatter the trap and caused it to break.

It serves as a powerful reminder of devine deliverance from hidden traps of life.

God can rescue us from Addictions, toxic relationships, anxiety, or deceit.

When life’s circumstances traps us God can rescue us and break those bonds.

We thank God for doctors, therapist, treatment and recovery centers, all needed, but in the end we need God to rescue us.

When we look over our lives and so many things that could have taken us out but didn’t.

Many of our family and friends did not make it this far, we have survived 100 percent of our bad days.

Escape – To be released or rescued, to be smooth or slippery, leap out, let go, delivered, exit.

God can help us escape from drugs, alcohol, unhealthy relationships, or any behavior that can become addictive and destructive.

Financially many of us have had some rough times, but with God’s help we made it through.

Like God did for David, God can rescue us, we can escape, let’s put our trust in him.
