Proverbs 4:25-25(ERV)
V. 25 Keep your eyes on the path, and look straight ahead.
V. 26 Make sure you are going the right way, and nothing will make you fall.
Distraction – Anything that diverts your attention, focus, or mental energy away from actual primary task or goal.
Comes from Latin word meaning “A pulling apart”.
Action – The process of doing something, a specific deed, or the state of being active.
From a Latin word meaning “To do”.
In this world/life there are so many people and things vying for our attention, family, friends, media, social media, so many political and religious discussions or arguments.
Many distractions in themselves are not bad, but anything outside of your responsibility that consumes you and causes you to be inactive is not beneficial for you.
We can be concerned but not consumed, so many have social media platforms, which are great but we should not be consumed by content.
That’s where setting personal boundaries come in, it help you to manage your time better.
We should spend more time bettering ourselves than listening to someone else’s thoughts.
Any content that leaves you upset all the time, cause you to get unfocused, anything that encourages you to hate others, is not beneficial.
So we can be aware of what’s happening, we should vote, get involved in our communities but still stay focus on our personal goals and dreams.
Distractions can pull us away from our purpose, they are only good for our personal get away time, vacation, entertainment, time with family and friends.
Most important our quiet times with God through prayer, reading, writing, and meditation.
So set boundaries, stay focus, know who you are and what you want out of life, and don’t like “Distractions hinder your Actions”.
