Benefits Of Kindness

Proverbs 11:17(NIV)

Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.

Kindness – Being friendly, generous, considerate, or compassionate, genuine feeling to help or support others.

Kindness start with being kind to oneself, practicing self compassion, positive talk, and gratitude, being kind to yourself is just as important as being kind to others.

Examples of Kindness:

1. Holding the door for someone.

2. Assisting a neighbor with groceries bags or furniture.

3. Helping anyone you know who’s going through a rough time, listening to them.

4. Being patient with others and being patient and kind to oneself.

5. Standing up for others, especially the less fortunate.

It doesn’t take a lot to be kind, just a kind word can do wonders.

Benefits of Kindness:

1. Reduced Stress and Anxiety

Kindness can decrease cortisol(The stress hormone) levels, improve relationship interactions.

2. Improve heart health and Immunity

Kindness releases Oxytocin, which helps lower blood pressure and protects the heart by reducing inflammation.

3. Increased longevity

Regular volunteering and helping others is associated with lower risk of mortality and better physical health.

4. Boost personal happiness

Acts of kindness whether big or small are proven to increase feelings of confidence, optimism, and overall happiness.

There is a lot of bad in this world, but there is also a lot of good in this world.

There are a lot of bad people in this world, but there also are a lot of kind people in this world.

Let’s be part of the Kindness that we want to see more of.

We are not kind for the benefits but the benefits come with being kind.
