Overflowing Hope

Romans 15:13(ERV)

I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with joy and peace as you trust him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will fow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Overflowing Hope – Having an abundance of hope that goes beyond oneself and spills over to others.

It’s the kind of hope that will sustain us and encourage others in difficult times.

Hope that can be shared with others.

What causes overflowing Hope:

1. Trusting in God

knowing and believing that God is the source of hope.

God gives us the Holy Spirit, which empowers us with overflowing hope.

2. Past personal experience

Knowing that God has come through for us in the past can enhance our hope for tomorrow.

Having gratitude, resilience, and a sense of purpose caused by seeing God do it so many times gives us hope.

3. Connecting with like-minded people

Having people in our lives who do not just complain, but continue to move forward in life in spite of challenges and difficulties.

Seeing our family, friends, and others go through things and keep hope alive can encourage us and enhance our hope.

4. Living a life of prayer

Prayer keeps us connected to God, who is the source of hope.

Prayer gives us expectation, if we didn’t expect God to do anything, then we would not pray.

Prayer can relieve stress, anxiety, and give hope for healing, deliverance, and hope for any financial or physical need.

Prayer can be the fuel to keep our hope alive and give us a different perspective on our lives and the people around us.

Hope is essential all the time, especially these times, but when our hope is overflowing, it can encourage and hopefully rub off on others.

Hope is not denying our reality or the reality of others.

Hope is believing that things can get better.

Lord, I pray for Overflowing Hope in our lives, not just for ourselves, but to touch others.
