Ministry Of Affliction

Psalm 34:19(NKJV)

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all.

Psalm 116:67(NKJV)

Before I was afflicted, I went astray, But now i keep your word.

Psalm 116:71(NKJV)

It is good for me that I have been afflicted, That I may learn Your statues.

How can going through afflictions be good?

Remember, the Psalmist is talking after the fact. God knows that we are human.

We all experience pain and emotions, especially initially after certain traumas or affliction.

But as time goes on, we realize that if we have to go through this, we must, because for us, giving up is not an option.

Miinistry Of Affliction – Where suffering, hardship, and trails can be used to help us grow and get better.

Now God doesn’t necessarily send the affliction, but God can help use the affliction to make us get better, to cause us to grow and trust him more.

Every adversity that comes our way God can use it to shape us if we allow it to.

What can affliction do for us:

1. Affliction can cause us to grow as believers and people.

We may never fully understand why that particular adversity happened, but it can make us better in time.

2. Affliction can help develop our character.

It can help us with patience because afflictions do not go away overnight.

We have to learn to trust in God and our support systems to get to the other side.

3. Affliction can help us have a better impact.

It can cause us to be more compassionate with people, it can help us be more understanding of people, it can help us be more patient with people.

2 Corinthians 1:4

God comforts us in our troubles, so we can comfort others in their troubles.

4. Affliction helps us to embrace future afflictions.

James 1:2(NLT)

Dear brothers and sisters, when trouble comes your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.

5. Affliction can get us back on track.

We can stray from the life that we know we should be living.

There are so many distractions. We can lose our way. Affliction can help us see what is more important to us.

To be and do what we know our purpose in this life is. We can align ourselves with the wrong person or people and get off track, get away from our God, even purpose.

Conclusion:

No one is happy for trouble, but we learn to embrace it, knowing that the joy of the Lord is our strength, God has delivered us before and will do it again.

We all try to avoid obstacles, trails, tribulation, test or any can if adversity.

I don’t know anyone in my life anyway that looks for adversity.

But hopefully we learn to allow God to use it to make us better, it may not take away the pain of what that situation brought, but God can, if we allow him to, use it to make us better and help others.

Ministry Of Affliction, it can be necessary to mold us into who we need to be.
