Don’t Look Back

Genesis 19:26(NKJV)

But Lot’s wife looked back as she was following behind him, and she turned into a pillar of salt.

Philippians 3:13(NKJV)

No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: forgetting the past and looking for what lies ahead.

Don’t Look Back – It often used to encourage moving forward and not dwelling on the past regrets and choices, leaving a former self and embracing your new self.

while embracing change or something new, we only look back to do better in the future. There is not much we can do about the past, we can make amends personally and as nations, but we must look to the future.

But regardless of what we do or say, it will not change the past, we must focus on the future.

Even in personal development, self-help, we look back to see how far we have come, we don’t want to go back, physically, financially, spiritually, or emotionally.

That’s why we continue to do the work on ourselves; to move forward. In a car, the windshield is always larger than the rear view mirror.

Windshield – Representing focusing on the present or the future, what’s in front of you, it represents moving forward.

Rear View – Represent what is behind you, the past, past mistakes, hurts, failures, setbacks, you are moving from the past into your future.

It’s about focus – Somethings in our past, good or bad, we may never forget, but it’s about focus.

Not just the bad in your past – Do you or your friends constantly talk about, back in the day, the good old days.

That’s fine as long as you are still moving forward. Some old relationships or friendships may remind you of good or bad times in the past when you have moved on.

Don’t Look Back, it doesn’t mean you don’t remember the past, learn from the past, even tell stories of the past, especially if it will help someone else.

“The past is where we learn the lesson, the future is where we apply the lesson”.

it’s about focus.

You look back to see how far you have come, and then keep moving.

It’s hard to drive, run, or even walk looking backward.

We all have had hard times in the past. We have had good times in the past.

But our best is ahead of us, our future is bright, we haven’t come this far, just to come this far, we are moving forward.

Don’t Look Back. We are on our way.
