Attitude

Numbers 14:24(NLT)

But my servant Caleb has a “Different Attitude” that the others have. He has remained loyal to me, so I will bring him into the land he explored. His descendants will possess their share of that land.

The bible is full of amazing events. This one is not any different.

The people of God were sent to spy out the land that God hand promised, 12 spies were sent into Canaan, including Joshua and Caleb.

The spies seen a land filled with milk and honey, a fruitfulness land.

But only one problem, there were Giants there, and the spies saw themselves as less than, as grasshoppers, and thought they were not able to conquer the giants.

But Caleb stood up in the mist of the people, who were crying and said to them, we are more than able to defeat them.

Every promise you have, every dream you may have, every vision in your life, there will always be opposition, some things just life and some adversary.

Caleb had “A Different Attitude”, Caleb didn’t say that there were not Giants, but Caleb said in spite of the Giants we are able.

Attitude is so important, if not everything. It can determine our successes as well as our failures.

There are basically two kinds of attitudes, Negative or Positive.

Neither may not guarantee a result, but having a positive attitude certainly makes the process more fulfilling regardless of the results.

Negative Attitude – Is a feeling that is not constructive, cooperative, or optimistic. Often involves pessimism, criticism, and expecting unfavorable outcomes. Focuses the bad and not the good.

Some results of Negative Attitude:

1. Often adds more stress to their journey than necessary.

2. Not a fun person to be around

3. Always complaining

4. Never satisfied

5. It’s hard to focus

6. Can’t handle challenges well

7. Lack of joy

8. Can be seen as an unpleasant person

9. Blame others for everything

10. Very little, if any, personal accountability.

11. Can’t take criticism well

12. Focus on your own and others weakness other than strengths.

A negative attitude may not only cost you, but everyone close to you.

Positive Attitude – A general statement of optimism.

Some results of Positive Attitude:

1. More hopeful of all outcomes

2. Very confident person

3. Very appreciate of yourself and others

4. Face challenges with courage

5. Have more joy

6. Good person to be around

7. Takes constructive criticism well

8. Takes accountability for personal failures

9. Celebrates personal successes

10. Focus on your strengths and the strengths of others

11. Less stressful person

Zig Ziglar quote:

“Your Attitude, not your Aptitude, determines your Altitude”.

That may not be true in every specific case, but in the totality of our lives that is true.

People may even look down on you for your different attitude, your optimistic attitude, but you can be different in the mist of negativity.
