Reluctant but Obedient

Exodus 6:10(NKJV)

Then Moses said to the Lord, “O Lord, I AM not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant, but I AM slow of speech and slow of tongue”.

Isaiah 6:5(NKJV)

“Woe is me, for I AM undone! Because I AM a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eye have seen the King, the Lord of host. ”

Judges 6:15(NKJV)

So he said to him, “O my Lord, how can i save Israel? indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I AM the least in my fathers house”

1 Corinthians 15:9(NKJV)

For I AM the least of the Apostle, who am not worthy to be called and Apostle.

So many people in the bible were reluctant when first called by God, so many people in life in general who have done great things were reluctant, the above verses talk about Moses, Isaiah, Gideon, and even the apostle Paul, didn’t think they measured up at times.

I believe in positive confessions and self belief, self-confidence. But verbal self-confidence without actions is just a loud person.

Many when faced with a great task are very fearfully and reluctant.

Joyce Myer wrote a book entitled “Do it Afraid”. She talked about how we can be courageous and move forward in spite of our fears.

Sometimes we can be in the middle of a mission and forget how far we have come then fear creeps in.

There are times we are tempted to give up, but we must fight through.

Many times, the bible encourages us to be not afraid, God desire for us to be not afraid.

But God doesn’t want fear to stop us from moving forward, we can have some fear and be reluctant but continue moving forward.

So if you know and believe you are supposed to accomplish something and you are fearfully and reluctant, keep going, a lot of times, once you take that step fear will lesson or leave.

If you are in the middle of doing a mission and fear creeps in, keep going, you’ve come too far.

Joshua 1:9(NKJV)

Have I commanded you? Be Strong and of good courage; do not be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

God encouraged Joshua to be strong and of good courage, but the most important thing is that God is with us like he was with Joshua.

So hopefully your not reluctant or fearful, but if you are, go anyway knowing that God is with you.

Peace
