What Really Matters

Psalms 139:14(KJV)

I will praise thee; for I AM fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Jeremiah 29:11(KJV)

For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not evil, to give you an expected end.

Philippians 1:6(KJV)

Being confident of this very thing, that he which begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

“What Really Matter”

1. What others think and say about us

For some of us what others say and think about us matters, we may say it doesn’t but our reputation is important to us, well my reputation is important to me for sure.

The problem is what others say and think about us can change from one season to the next, especially if we have made mistakes or bad choices to cause our reputation to take a hit.

Even if we have not made bad decisions or mistakes, people can change the way the feel about us because of our success, beliefs, or for many other reasons.

2. What we think and say about ourselves

In Don Miguel Ruiz book “The Four Agreements,” the first agreement he says be impeccable with your word, mainly about what we think and say about ourselves.

Sometimes, we can be our own worse enemy. We can be the weapon formed against ourselves.

So what we think and say about ourselves is so important. If we don’t think and say good things about ourselves, why do we expect others to do so.

If we don’t love and respect ourselves, why would we expect others to love and respect us.

Predators and narcissistic people can pick up our negative vibes of ourselves and use it against us.

So what you think and say about yourself is vital, but that can also change in a bad season of your life.

3. What God think and say about us(Most Important).

The Psalmist says in Psalms 139:14, that God made him fearfully and wonderfully. So if God made him that way, God has made all of us that way. So in the times where others may think and say bad things about you, go back to what God thinks and says.

When you may go through a season where you may think and say bad things about yourself, go back to what God thinks and says.

Hopefully, we don’t go through a season where we think or say bad things about ourselves but if it happens, don’t be too hard on yourself. You will get through it.

Philippians 1:6

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
