Psalms 126:5

John 15:11

These things have i spoken unto you, that my JOY might remain in you, and that your JOY might be full.

The importance of JOY is shown in these few verses, but JOY it is talked about all over the bible.

What does having JOY do:

1. JOY gives is you hope

2. JOY gives you strength

3. JOY gives you courage

4. JOY gives peace

What does a lack of JOY do:

1. Can gives you a sense of defeat

2. Hopeless

3. Lack of courage

4. Lack of strength

5. Lack of JOY can cause you to not want to get out of bed

How can we be intentional with a pursuit of JOY

1. Prayer

2. Reading the bible or other inspirational books

3. Praise to God

4. Worship

5. Fellowship

6. Talk to someone, Parent/Pastor/brother/sister/therapist/friend

JOY doesn’t come with a lack of trouble or sadness. We all go through stuff, actually the emotional of JOY and sadness can coexist.

The Apostle Paul went through many things, his JOY was in Christ which overcame his circumstances.

We all have our moments, but a moment or a season doesn’t mean that you lack JOY, it’s just a moment or a season, it will past.

So be intentional in your not staying down for too long, it’s hard to be strong being down all the time.

It’s okay to cry, feel down, feel lost, feel lonely, those are just feelings, it could be because of sickness, disease, life’s disappointments, but you will get through it.

John 16:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
