Love People But Trust God

Jeremiah 17:5, 8 (ERV)

V. 5 This is what the LORD says: “Bad things will happen to those who put trust in people. Bad things will happen to those who depend on human strength. That is because they have stopped trusting the LORD.”

V. 8 But those who trust in the LORD will be blessed. They know that the LORD will do what he says.” The bible calls us to love everyone, because God loves the world.

We should have a level of trust for some people, especially those who have earned our trust.

But we should have complete trust in our spouse or any close love one or friend, but we should not be blind when some behavior causes that trust to challenged, especially if it keeps happening.

We are never supposed to trust anyone without having critical eyes to their loyalty or behavior towards us.

Whether it is a family member, relationship, or friendship.

Sometimes love can be blind, wanting to be part of something so bad that we ignore warning signs.

In religion and politics we still should have critical thinking and ask questions if something feels off.

But regardless we should love everyone, sometimes that can be hard especially if someone has hurts us.

There is so much hate for other humans of different race, gender, sexuality, religion, we can love without always agreeing with everything.

But our trusting in God should never waver, or though at times it might.

Unlike people God always does what he says, God is always with us, God always wants what’s best for us.

In these challenging times, continue to love people, trust people until proven wrong.

Bad things happen when we stop trusting God and start trusting people with our lives.

Jeremiah 29:11(ERV)

I say this because I know the plans that I have for you. This message is from the LORD. I have good plans for you. I don’t plan to hurt you. I plan to give you hope and a good future.

Jeremiah 29:11 is not a promise that our lives will be free of trouble or adversity. But that God will always be there for us, God wants our future to be good, here on earth and in eternity.

That’s why, when we trust God, we will always be blessed, because all things workout for our good.
