Ecclesiastes 9:10(NLT)
Whatever you do, do well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom.
Colossians 3:23(NLT)
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
There is a lot going on in the world today that can be discouraging, it can take the life out of us if we let it, but we should never let the things in life altar our dreams or plans, altar our work ethics.
Anything less than personal sickness or disease, tragedy or unforseen financial crisis may slow us down, but eventually we get back up and continue to do our best.
We all may have fallen down, the key is not to stay down.
My grandmother didn’t have much, but she left me with these words, “When you have done the best you can, you can not do no more.”
I will add to that and say, when I have not done my best i can do more.
Sometimes as we go through life we forget that we have one shot at this life on earth.
Our goal and mission should be to always do our best, work as hard as we can, work as smart as we can, and make a difference.
Whatever field, career, job we choose we should always do our best.
We should not be all about pleasing man, but about pleasing God and leaving a legacy.
We have one shot at this life, true we should plan and have strategies, but we should never procrastinate.
Proverbs 27:1(NLT)
Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.
James 4:14(NLT)
How do you know what your life will be tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog- it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.
We are here for these reasons, to be our best, to do our best, to give our best, to make an Impact.
Don Miguel Ruiz quote from his book the Four Agreements, the fourth Agreement:
“Always do your best”
We should always continue to become the version of ourselves, our better version means better impact.
There are a lot of external things that we can not control, but we can control our efforts and willing to do our best.
Our best may look different on certain days because of multiple reasons, illness, schedules, priorities, but we can rest knowing we did our best.
Remain faithful to yourself, faithful to your work, and faithful to God until the end.
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.
