Psalm 32:7(NKJV)
You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah
Psalm 119:114(NKJV)
You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.
Our Hiding Place – God offers safety, protection from trouble, fear, and danger.
It does not mean we will never have trouble, but God preserves and surrounds us in our troubles.
John 16:33(NKJV)
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Psalm 27:5(NKJV)
For in the time if trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; he shall see me high upon a rock.
Thank God there is a place where we can go, not to just run from trouble but to run to God.
What can help us get to that place:
1. Prayer
Prayer gets you in that secret place, being alone with God.
Matthew 6:6(NKJV)
But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut the door, pray to your father who is in the secret place; and your father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
That secret place sometimes is in a closet, but you can pray to God in your car, at work, anywhere and anytime.
2. Fellowship
Having people we can seek God with can help us get into that place, whether it is in a church or a home.
Hebrews 10:25(NKJV)
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the day approaching.
As this world gets crazier and crazier, having others in your life to fellowship with and encourage one another is vital, even having people that you can meet with for coffee or something.
3. God’s word
Psalm 119:105(NKJV)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
God’s word will always get us through, God’s written word and God spoken word.
4. Worship
Psalm 29:2(NKJV)
Give unto the LORD glory due His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
Worship is the best way to enter into that secret place, that’s why church is important and worshiping God alone.
Having a heart of gratitude is a must.
So in this life, in this world with so much going on in our personal lives, in our families, friends lives, in our communities.
Things can become overwhelming and exhausting.
With so much happening in the United States and the world wide, having that hiding place is a must.
God is our hiding place, we are grateful for that.
