John 1:23(NKJV)
The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the LORD.
In the ancient history and modern civilization, God has always used communities, groups of people to come together and do great things.
And that will continue to happen, such great things can be done in unity, many hands can make the load light.
God also uses individuals, male and female, young and old.
We all have a voice, sometimes we minimize it because we are part of a group, but feel like our voice is not heard.
Voice of One – Any person who has a message or ability and expresses themselves and their experience or knowledge.
John the Baptist was the “Voice of One”, Jesus never rebuked him for not being a physical follower of his.
John had a unique voice or responsibility, John voice was so powerful and influential that people can to the wilderness to hear him speak.
Matthew 3:4-5(ERV)
V. 4 John’s clothes were made from camel’s hair, and he had a leather belt around his waist. Fir food, he ate locusts and wild honey.
V. 5 People came to John from Jerusalem and the rest of Judea and from all the areas along the Jordan River.
John the Baptist knew his role, he wasn’t trying to be the Messiah, he was a voice, a powerful voice.
We do not have to dress like others, look like others, or sounds like others, we just need to know that we have a voice in this world.
When we know our purpose, the only one we are mainly competing with is ourselves, constantly becoming a better version of ourselves.
Your voice will make a difference, you are unique, never let anyone silence you.
Baraka Obama quote:
“If you give up on the idea that your voice can make a difference, the others voices will fill the void.”
Evil only prevails when good people say nothing and do nothing.
You may say you are only one person, so was Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Esther, Ruth, Deborah, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela.
You do not have to compare yourself to anyone, you do not have to copy anyone.
John Mason quote:
“You were born an original, do not die a copy.”
God created you for a specific, unique purpose.
God has called you not to imitate someone else, but to become all that he wants you to be.
Everybody will not like you, and that’s okay.
Like John the Bapist, your voice will be heard, know who you are.
It’s great to be part of a group, but never lose your individuality or uniqueness.
