Mary asked the angel, “How can this happen? I am a virgin.
The birth is Christ is a lesson of “Overcoming the Odds”.
The Odds of Elizabeth or Mary giving birth were both low.
But they both overcome the odds, trusted God and it came to pass.
The results, both ladies(cousins) overcoming, caused Elizabeth to give birth to John the Baptist and Mary to give birth to Jesus.
Many of us have dreams and vision that may be difficult to birth, it sometimes can take greatness longer to come forth, keep working be patient..
Don’t focus on your limitations or challenges, acknowledge them but don’t focus on them..
Judges 6:15(NLT)
But Lord, Gideon said, “How can I rescue Israel? My clan is the weakest in the whole tribe of Manasseh, and I am the least in my entire family!”
God called Gideon to deliver his people from the Midianites, Gideon did not deny his limitations.
But in the end Gideon obeyed God and delivered his people from the Midianites hands.
The bible has so many accounts of individuals and groups “Overcoming the Odds”, they all were written for our Encouragement.
Romans 15:4(NLT)
Such things were written in the scripture long ago to teach us. And the scriptures give us hope and encouragement as we patiently wait for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
So be encouraged, God plans and promises for you will come to pass.
Life will always have obstacles and challenges, be an overcomer, be a Victor.
The birth, life and resurrection of Christ, greatest story ever told, is of “Overcoming the Odds”.
Because Christ overcame, so can we.
