Ecclesiastes 7:8(NLT)
Finishing is better than starting, patience is better than pride.
Finishing Strong – Staying Focused, being committed until years end, even if you are tired or have obstacles.
In sports my coaches would always talk about finishing strong.
I’ve been in many basketball games and seen many games going into the final quarter, one team has a big lead, and doesn’t finish strong and lose.
Finishing The Year Strong:
1. Review your year
Review all your successes and challenges.
See what you could have done better and learn from it.
If you have set goals, see how far you came to accomplishing them, if you didn’t fully accomplish them already keep trying.
Maybe you still have time to accomplish goals are get closer.
2. Give yourself credit
You have worked hard this year, you gave it your all, you did your best.
All of the early mornings and late nights, some sleepless nights.
You did not give up, you hung in there, do not slack up now.
Many breakthroughs happen at the end of a year.
Celebrate your wins, give yourself some credit.
Be patient with yourself, you’ve come so far, do not give up now.
3. Be grateful for God
You’ve almost made it through another year, God has kept you.
You have survived 100 percent of your bad days to this point, God is with you and God is for you.
4. Be grateful for others
All the people who were there for you during the year, love ones, friends, co-workers.
I started blogging this year and I’m grateful for everyone that has read any of my blogs.
Thanks for taking the time in your life to be a part if my blog.
I’m grateful for all the blogs I have read, they all have been helpful for me making it through this year.
WordPress has been a blessing.
5. Give Back
Always be mindful of the less fortune people in the world.
Continue to be generous, even at years end, not out of guilt but out of care, do what you can, if you can, even if you just have a kind word.
6. Set boundaries
Ending the year can be challenging, so many vying for your attention.
Company parties, family outings, Christmas shopping, can be stressful, especially if your time and finances are limited.
It can be hard to focus on your personal goals.
Learn to say “No”, nicely of course.
Do not give time or money that you do not have.
John 2:10, God saved the best for last, God does that in our lives at times.
So as this year comes to a close, do not give up on a breakthrough, your yearly goals may still come to pass.
If you have worked hard on your diet and fitness this year, try to stick to it, try not to develop bad eating habits the next month.
Be encouraged, be refreshed, be revived.
Let “Finishing The Year Strong” be your goal.
