Psalm 27(NLT)
Even if my father and mother abandoned me, the LORD would hold me close.
Psalm 138:8(NLT)
The LORD will work out his plans for my life – for your faithful love, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.
2 Corinthians 4:(NIV)
Persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
Many of us have had times in our lives where we have felt abandoned.
Whether by family, friends, co-workers, and unfortunately even a spouse or partner.
There isn’t a worse feeling than feeling alone and forsaken.
Mother Terea quote:
“Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 and Hebrews 13:5 promises that God will never leave or forsake you.
Many believers believe that God is only there for believers, but before I was a believer, I called out to God for help and God helped me.
Even as a non-believer, I called out to God and he helped me, which made me a believer.
Things every person needs to know:
1. God is always present
God’s presence goes with us as believers, even when we feel alone.
God is as close as the mention of his name.
Psalm 145:18(NLT)
The LORD is close to all who call in him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.
2. God is faithful
God is faithful and committed to us as believers, and that doesn’t mean things will always go our way.
But God is to see us through our trials and tribulations and help get us to the other side.
3. God never rejects anyone
God will never reject anyone who seeks him with their whole heart.
Psalm 9:10 You, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you.
Romans 5:8 Reassures us that God didn’t wait for us to get everything right to love us or be there for us.
4. God is Accessible
So many important people or hard to get a hold of by many.
To reach them, you would have to go through so much.
But not God.
Hebrews 4:16(NLT)
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There, we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Finally,
So always be mindful that God is with as a believer and there for everyone who calls on him. Jesus didn’t just die for church or Christian people, Jesus died and rose again for all mankind.
Isaiah 43:2(NLT)
When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.
As we enter this holiday season and always, let’s give hope to others.
So many feel left alone, forsaken, abandoned by others.
Let’s be extensions of God’s love and care.
Let’s bring hope to others.
