The Power Of Meditation

Psalm 19:14(NKJV)

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and My Redeemer.

Philippians 4:8(NKJV)

Finally, my brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be anything praiseworthy – meditate on these things.

Meditation – Think deeply or focus one’s mind for a period of time, to reach spiritual awareness.

It’s not just meditation. It’s what you are meditating on, what you are focusing on.

We live in a society where bad news or pessimistic news seems to sell more.

It seems like a lie is more entertaining than true, so our focus can become bad news if we’re not careful.

Colossians 3:2(NKJV)

Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

It doesn’t mean that we don’t care about the things of this world, but our focus is set on higher.

Romans 12:2(NKJV)

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

God wants us to be concerned about our lives here, God wants us to always work hard and do our best.

But our focus should be to please God and make an impact why we are here.

So, we must focus on what is good. There is so much positive, in what seems like a world full of negativity.

We are good news carriers, we should be bearers of goods.

But to be good news, we must focus on good news and truth.

It doesn’t mean we don’t acknowledge the bad but our focus is on the good.

The power of meditation is that it focuses our thoughts, and it focuses our conversation.

When we will feel like we are becoming negative. We might need to pull away, focus our thoughts, and change our conversation.

The power of meditation can take us from I can’t, to I can.

Let’s embrace that power.
