Wars and Rumors of Wars

Matthew 24:6(NKJV)

And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.

And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.

This post is not for an end time prediction, just for encouragement.

I was at the gym one morning recently, and the news was on, reporting about the wars and conflicts going on around the world, there are some horrible situations going on around the world, so many innocent lives being lost, it’s just so sad, prayers up for the victims, I hope the conflicts end soon.

Someone said the end of the world is here, but wars and rumors of war are not exactly an indication of the end of the world.

The world may end soon, but we do not know when that will happen

I joined the military here in the United States in the 80s, and the news media and the Christian church were saying the end of the world is here.

There were books written about the end times, many Christian sermons about the end times, and here we are, still here.

George Orwell published a book in 1949 entitled 1984. Many thought the world would end then or be changed forever.

Y2k, the year 2000, many thought that our whole computer system would be messed up. We had glitches, but we made it through it.

Wars and rumors of wars are not an indication of the end times, that is just life, the world that we live in, unfortunately.

Many people and preachers/prophets predict the end of the world, I’m definitely not an expert in that subject, or an expert on eschatology.

All I know is no one really knows the times or seasons because the bible states that.

If Jesus says that he didn’t know times, it’s tough for me to trust anyone else to have specific knowledge on that.

I say all that to say, be aware of current events, and know what’s going on in your community, state, country, and world, but i wouldn’t be obsessed with it.

Pray without ceasing, love people, and do what you can to make a difference.

Continue to be the best that you can be, don’t stop growing, don’t stop learning, don’t stop giving, and don’t stop living.

Be available if things do get bad, be in the best position you can be spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially to make a difference.

Is the end near, i do not know, but what i do know is i need to do and be my best now. Please do not live in fear, no one knows the day or the hour.

Luke 19:13(KJV)

And he called his ten servants, and delivered the ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

Very relevant today, we should be about taking the gifts, talents, treasures that God has given us and multiplying them, do business with them, always improving until Jesus returns.

So be encouraged, there have always been wars and rumors, famine, sickness, earthquakes, all unfortunate, please pray for all victims.

But we do not know when the end will happen, live your life.

Please do not be obsessed with the media or social media concerning the end times.

If every conversation you have with certain people bring you down, then set boundaries.

Don’t constantly argue about politics or media, guard your heart.

So, continue to do your diligence in voting, get involved however you can locally, state, country, missions, but please, do not live in fear.

it’s all in God hands and his time.
