I would have lost heart, unless i had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Psalm 126:3(NKJV) The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.
I love the progression by the writer of Psalm, whether it’s was intentional or not.
The writer was looking for God’s goodness, God’s goodness is all around us. People are doing great things. People are overcoming horrible odds. People are bouncing back from setbacks, shortcomings, broken relationships, broken friendships, financial crisis and many other things.
So, we can overcome also, great things are happening all around us, and if we are still here, we are here for a reason, never give up, great things are on the horizon for you.
Like the Psalmist, I have seen and will continue to see the goodness of God in this life.
I believe in heaven; many bible verses on heaven, there are also many bible verses that show the goodness of God never ends in this life.
The goodness of God is not just for the afterlife or the continued spiritual life, it is for this life here on earth also.
John 10:10, Jesus promised us life, not just life, but abundant life.
I just read a post earlier this week that said we should not just survive but thrive.
We should always be praying, hoping, and believing that things we get better, not just in our own lives but in the world.
The Psalmist said I would have lost heart or given up if I didn’t believe that. What’s the point of being hopeless believers of God.
We can be hopeful and at the same time be sad and hurt about the poverty, injustices, wars, and destruction that is going on in the world.
We should continue to speak hope and life into one another, use our platforms to build and not tear down.
Some people bash social media because of some of the content.
But we find what we are looking for on any social media platform, if we look for goodness and hope in the world and social media that’s what we will find.
The Lord has done great things, the Lord is doing great things in people and through people, His goodness is in this world.
“Seeing God’s Goodness”, it’s all around us.
