Genesis 13:13-14(NKJV)
13 And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, “Lift up your eyes now and look from the place you are-northward, Southward, Eastward, and Westward.”
14 For all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever.
1 Corinthians 2:9(NKJV)
Eye have not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love him. ”
These verses speak of the natural eyes as well as the spiritual eyes, God can do both. So God called Abram, whose name was changed later to Abraham, and his nephew Lot came with Abraham. In the course of time Lot became more of a menace or stumbling block to Abram.
So Abram had to separate from Lot to really see the good that God had planned for
Things you must separate from:
1. Negative people who only see the bad in the world and never see the good.
2. Your Own negative mindset
3. Any relationship that is holding you back
4. Any friendships that are holding you back
5. You may have to physically move
6. You may have to eventually change jobs are careers
7. Any negative media or social media influences anything that is stopping you from seeing your best and becoming your best.
I was in a conversation with a friend of mind about the good in the world and how prayer can influence the evil around us. Sometimes, it doesn’t seem like our prayers are working, especially when it comes to the good we have seen in our future and in others.
He made a good point that prayer is a seed, every time we pray we are planting seed, one day that harvest will raise.
1 Corinthians 2:9, God shows us good things and a great future through prayer, our spiritual eyes.
Our natural eyes are limited. Sometimes, with our natural eyes were can’t see how people or things can change.
God has shown us so much good about our future. We have seen great things in our future.
There is evil in the world. There are evil people in the world.
But I believe that there are more good people than evil, but some media and social media wants us to only see the bad and not the good.
“What You See Is What You Get”, we may not can change the whole world but we can impact our worlds. Abram had to separate from Lot to see the good ahead of him.
Genesis 13:18
Abram built an altar to the Lord.
Abram knew his future, he seen what God was doing, and after every step, he built an altar.
Abram understood God’s presence, and God’s working in him and through him.
So it’s not just what you see with your natural, but what God has shown you with your spiritual eyes.
“What You See Is What You Get”, choose to focus on the good, that doesn’t mean that we ignore the evil and act like evil doesn’t exist.
But it has a lot to do with focus.
