Make Sure Mom Is Taken Care Of

John 19:26-27(ERV),

V. 26 Jesus saw his mother. He saw the follower he loved very much standing there. He said to his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son.

V. 27 Then he said to the follower, “Here is your mother”, So after that, this follower took Jesus’ mother to live in his house.

Many believe this disciple was the Apostle John. He was seemingly closest to Jesus, people say you shouldn’t have favorites, but that’s unrealistic.

John was known as the disciple who Jesus loved, Jesus loved the world but was closest to John.

After Jesus death John took Jesus mom in his him to live with him, many of us make plans for our kids after we are gone but if our unfortunate death happens before our mom will she be taken care of.

So, with the world on his shoulders, being crucified, Jesus took the time to make sure his mom was taken care of.

If Jesus never got too big for his mom, we certainly should never think we are too big. Let’s be like Jesus, let’s make sure our mom is taken care of, not just this week because it’s Mother’s day but year round.

I know and understand all of us don’t have perfect relationships with our parents for whatever reasons, but if you can at least reach out to your mom, not to make anyone feel guilty because each situation is different.

Many, like myself, who have lost our mom wish our moms she was here, my prayers and care go out to all who have that lost.

Those like myself who have had great moms are so blessed.

Those ladies who didn’t have great mom, can be a great mom to your kids, or be a mother figure or influence to others.

So, on this wonderful week and forever,

“Make sure Mom is Taken Care of.”
