When you don’t know what to do, do what you know

Matthew 7:7(ERV)

“Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will be open for you”

Live brings such challenges and uncertainties at times. Sometimes, it’s hard to know what to do.

Even with believing in God, Jesus, and the bible at times, decision-making is not easy.

There are so many voices and differences of opinions even among the people of God.

Some say jump, others say be still, some say talk, others say be quiet, some say run, others say walk.

If you have not found yourself like in the valley of decisions Joel 3:14, one day you probably will.

Sometimes we or I don’t know what to do.

At those times , do what you know.

1. I know to Ask

In asking, I’m totally depend on God, I’m calling out to God, sometimes asking is very loud, and sometimes it’s is very low because I’m out of strength.

You actually have to humble yourself to ask for help. It means that your earthly ability to receive or achieve something is limited, but God’s ability is unlimited.

It’s realizing that God’s resources are inexhaustible, God’s ability is unlimited, and God’s compassion is unwavering.

You have seen God do it so many times before, and you don’t have any doubt that God can do it again.

2. Seek(Search)

Seeking or searching is also dependent on God, but it takes some mental effort on our part.

It has to do with thinking and meditation.

Seeking literally or figuratively controlling your thoughts and desires

Like looking for a job, you are seeking God but doing your part to find a job.

Like a man seeking a wife, he is seeking God, but looking for a wife also, the bible says he that finds a wife.

3. Knock

Knock is to physically knock at the door. That’s all on us physically, but we continue to pray

Knock is to strike noisily to attract attention, especially when waiting to be let in through a door.

Luke 18:1-6

Jesus tells the story of an unjust judge that was bothered by a widow at night. She kept bothering him until he gave in.

At the end of this parable, Jesus called what that lady did faith, which he is looking for

Knocking means you are sure and certain that that door will open, and you are persistent .

Sometimes, we should not just take no for an answer when it comes to our destiny, purpose, or life emergency situations.

So when we don’t know what to do, we do know to ask, seek(search), and knock.

Ask Seek knock. It’s not a coincidence that does three words begin with letters that read ASK.

May require some fasting to help with clear vision.

Do what know and let God do the rest.
