God Gets The Credit

Psalms 20:7(ERV)

Some give the credit for victory to their chariots and soldiers, but we honor the Lord our God.

The King James Version of the bible uses the word Trust, same concept, whatever we trust in that’s who we give the credit to.

In this social, religious, and political world, so many want the credit, but not many take the blame or take the responsibility.

Psalm 29:7 makes it clear, we give(or, in our case should), honor the Lord or give him the credit.

Humans have always wanted an earthly leader to give credit or blame to, but God actually never wanted Israel to have a king. God warned them through the Prophet what would happen if they chose a King:

1 Samuel 8:1-21.

God desire was for us to trust in him, but God never was a God of control, God gave us the freedom of choice, so God allowed them to have a King.

Seems like people have always wanted someone or some idealogy to follow, but now it has turned into an obsession.

We are constantly looking to cast blame or give credit. We give credit to our personal leader or idealogy and blame our rival.

No matter who our physical leader is, we as people should look to God. It doesn’t matter how smart we may think we are as people, how educated, intelligent, gifted, if it wasn’t for God we would not be anything.

There is a saying about giving someone their flowers. All the glory and honor from us should go to God.

If we are looking for a savior on this earth, it’s not gonna happen, if we are looking for some person or ideology to save us from this social, religious, and political mess we have created, it will not happen.

We should have our beliefs, we should vote, it’s okay to have an opinion, but at the end of the day, we should look to, trust in and honor God.

Psalm 25:15(ERV)

I always look to the Lord for help. Only he can free me from my troubles.

Peace
