Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.
Romans 8:11(NLT)
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same spirit living in you.
Life has it’s up and downs, we get knocked down, sometimes by others and circumstances out of our control.
But sometimes we get knocked down by our own decisions, mistakes, or failures.
In any case God is with us, and if we look to him or turn to him God will give us life and light.
Your enemies may gloat but you will rise again because you have the Spirit of God living in you.
Romans 8:11 is not just an eschatology verse or a after life verse, but a verse to live by as we get through this life.
So be encouraged:
1. You may fall
2. You may get knocked down
3. People may gloat over you
4. You may go through dark times
5. You may have financial issues, lose of job etc.
6. You may have health issues
7. Domestic issues
But know this:
1. God is with you
2. God is for you
3. God is in you
4. You will rise again
5. God will be your light
Finally, If you’re in a good place in life, allow God to use you to be that life and light to others.
