6 Areas we should pursue being FIT
1. FIT Spiritually
Luke 9:62(NKJV)
But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hands to the plow, and looking back is FIT for the Kingdom of God. Being or becoming FIT for the purpose God has for you in this Kingdom of his here on earth.
2. FIT Physically
1 Timothy 4:8(MSG Bible),
Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you FIT both today and forever.
Some people read over the beginning of the verse that says workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but getting physically FIT is very important.
Having a healthier diet is very important also
3. FIT Academically
Proverbs 23:23(MSG Bible)
Buy truth – don’t sell it for love of money; buy wisdom, buy education, buy insight.
God values knowledge and education so much that he doesn’t want us to compromise our academic education for anything. We earned that.
Being FIT Academically can increases our money-making ability as well as our impact.
Not just formal education but being a student of whatever you are pursuing, reading, doing research etc.
4. FIT Mentally
John 14:27(ERV)
I leave you peace. It is my own peace I leave you. I give you peace in a different way than the world does, so don’t be troubled. Don’t be afraid.
There are many great therapists out there, but my number one source for mental FITNESS is Jesus’ peace. Jesus is the prince of peace.
Therapists or counselors are very important also. Having people in your life that you can talk to is very helpful, friends, family, etc
5. FIT Relationships(friendships)
Genesis 2:18(ERV)
Then the GOD said, “I see that it is not good for the man to be alone, I will make the companion he needs, one just right for him.”
If you desire companionship, look for someone who is the right FIT for you, but no one is perfect, so remember that in your pursuit.
Besides a companion, having friends in your life to lean on is vital to our success and well-being.
Proverbs 18:24
He that has friends must show themselves friendly. There is a friend who sticks closer than any brother.
6. FIT Financially
Philippians 4:19(NKJV),
And my God shall suppy all your needs according to his riches in glory, by Christ Jesus.
Being FIT financially is very, very important to our overall well-being.
Ecclesiastes 10:19b
Money answers all things. No matter how spiritually we are, we need money in this world to survive and thrive.
God’s desire and purpose is for us to be FIT in all these areas so we can truly fulfill our purpose in this world, but we must work with God to make it happen, trust God and do our best, we may fall short in some areas but we should keep trying, trying at physical fitness, trying financially, trying mentally with may need a therapist or a confidant, keep learning and reading, keep working on our spiritual, not just to get closer to God but our spiritual affects our mental.
Keep getting FIT. Keep going forward. You got this.
